Screen updating off

Screen updating off

When I come in in the morning I'm the first one here I sometimes have to walk to their offices and close the db manually. During a brief transitional period, Office will remain on my computer. Activate seems to be ignored. The query returns null values for the new part numbers with no orders.

You'll have to take my word on that. Now in this process how do I keep track of the records that are changed on the screen. When editing is finished he presses a button called save and close gets feedback and leaves the screen.

At the top of the screen I have a button that lets the user change the mode between read only and edit modes. That difference is the behaviour of the Application. When the user decides to update a record or records he goes into the edit mode and starts changing the records. The computers are in different offices. The user may change any number of records on the screen.

Along the way, it reports these actions in the status bar. But they sometimes forget and leave the db open. It basically does what it says - all screen updating, except for the status bar, is frozen. Our applications in Excel had a professional, elegant user interface, and they behaved predictably, intuitively and robustly. With Office going out of support, vast numbers of people in my company will be moving to Excel as Excel is decommissioned.

Also, how do you get access to open all the windows, tables, queries etc in full screen mode. The problems are best illustrated with a simple example. The current mode is displayed near the button. This is what I want to see and the order numbers are stored as text.
